Scrap Tape is a wash away foundation that stabilizes the grain line of fabric until it is sewn into the finished project. This 13-inch wide tape is the perfect width to use as the foundation of crazy quilt blocks. Stitch and flip the fabrics until the entire surface is covered. Then trim down to size. Since Scrap Tape washes away with water, do not use steam or a starch/starch alternative while constructing your blocks. Wash the stabilizer away AFTER the project is complete. The ability to wash this stabilizer away is a huge advantage over piecing scraps on a muslin foundation because when you use Scrap Tape you eliminates the issue of having extra bulk in your project caused by two layers of fabric. One package includes 10 yards of 13in wide Scrap Tape, enough to make (26) 13in square blocks.
