Finished coverlet size is approximately 80" x 100". The Jane Austen Coverlet Kit includes fabric for the top and binding along with the pattern and acrylic template for cutting the diamond blocks in the center of the quilt. The fabric collection featured is Jane Austen at Home. The coverlet is a reproduction of the one made by Jane, her sister Cassandra, and their mother. It is a medallion quilt with a large central motif cut as a diamond. This is surrounded by 232 smaller diamonds and interconnected by spotted sashing. The outer border contains over 2500 smaller diamonds however the border in your kit is a pre-printed cheater cloth fabric so all you need to do is cut the outer borders, no piecing required. The kit comes in a keepsake Jane Austen box. Backing is not included and 2.5 yards of 108" wide quilt backing fabric is suggested.
